Blow the Whistle is a community driven, family violence campaign that uses the language of sport and high profile sports people to encourage people to ask for help if they, or someone they know, are living with violence.

The campaign began in Tauranga in 2007 and this year is running in 34 communities around Aotearoa New Zealand from Whangarei to Invercargill between August and November.

With support from Blow the Whistle HQ, communities are forging new partnerships, running their own local version of this campaign with local rugby unions, city councils, alcohol accords and family violence networks, all working together in a new age of family violence ownership.

This campaign has been strongly supported by the It’s Not OK! campaign, Sky TV’s Rugby Channel, New Zealand Couriers and DPOD Printing.
